Most of the things that people call racist are not racist.
agree! the word is used in a very inflationary way, that's what I wanted to say
I agree that when people call you a racist it means nothing these days, but I’m still not going to apply the label to myself because I’m not. It’s good to hold the line of normalcy. We’re not racist xenophobes, we’re just normal people.
You need not give two shits whether people call you "racist” for simply wanting to live in a civilized society that excludes savages who can’t control themselves. And yet you can do that without actually being racist.
Like what?
Wanting to preserve your own culture and traditions. Understanding that there are group differences and that they have a biological basis. Having a preference to date or marry within your own group. Wanting neighborhoods to reflect shared values and traditions. Having pride in your culture, history and accomplishments. Expecting assimilation / being against immigration. Advocating for merit based systems. Criticisms of foreign governments without conflation to the demographics of the population. Avoiding certain neighborhoods due to crime statistics. Preferring certain food, music, social settings over others. Etc…
2020 would have been more straightforward if people weren’t worried about being perceived as racist for things that are clearly not. Self censorship can be deadly.
