So they want to license AI? They don't want it open source. It is like they don't know what open source means. It is like they think you can regulate and control code or something.

Government constantly tries to regulate what they don't understand. Same shit with say guns, cars, etc. But you can regulate physical things even if you are an idiot about them.

You can't stop code, you can't prevent it from being shared, etc. Make you think of anything else?

Statists gunna state stuff abd just act like because they wrote words on paper that it actually means or does anything to change human behavior.

white pill: they will always be a step or 2, or 5, behind the tech

I think this is coming from the tech companies. They are turning to the government like many industrialists have, in an attempt to keep competition at bay. The politicians know nothing, except which lines are likely to bring in more money from their backers. But Silicon Valley is already afraid- tiktok is eating up their ad money, and running AI experiments are expensive. So they don't want any breakthroughs coming from outside their control.

I get it. Also had a long conversation about it today with Guy Swann.

But what's the resolution, really?

We've all seen Terminator.

We have an idea how this shit may end up, Skynet North Korea etc.

I'm 100% open minded. What are the alternative possibilities here?

If it can be measured it can be taxed.
