Poor guy doesn't realize the feint towards Kiev was just a ploy. The Russian successfully trapped most of the Ukrainian troops they wanted to neutralize back then, but Lex is thinking that was a Zelensky win. The Russians didn't state goals necessarily connected to land- though I think they probably have some. They did state some goals related to 'denazification' and they did extremely well with that. They aren't doing too bad with land either.
I had to disconnect alby since it is has had to change its business strategy. Which led me to notice how fucking broken nearly every nostr client I use is. I appear to have managed it here, but who knows if it really worked, or if the removal of the wallet here will propagate to other clients.
Greetings, @august,
So nice to "meet" you here, and Thank You for your thoughtful interaction.🙏🏻😀
Much as I appreciate your reply (forgive me if I'm wrong about this), I suspect you have yet to read what I've written in either of the above articles?🧐 Thus drawing inaccurate conclusions about my position; not surprising because (if you've not yet read me) you've only encountered "the tip of the iceberg."😆
We actually AGREE that "nations" CLEARLY exist; that both Jesus and Paul speak of "governance;" and nations are CLEARLY a part of God's plan.
My use of the term "nation-state" is intentional. Are you aware that in most English translations of the New Testament, the Greek word ἔθνος (ethnos) is rather arbitrarily rendered either "nations" or "Gentiles?" (Please see the entry for "ethnos" in the article below).
https://peakd.com/conspiracy/@creatr/political-power-and-the-connotation-conspiracy
This flip-flop of terms has bent the theology of the English reader, causing most to conflate "the people" with "the government."
You and I are 100% in agreement that we see "the nations" (speaking of PEOPLE, elsewhere translated "Gentiles") worshipping God in the New Heavens and New Earth... It is "the governments," i.e. the "nation-states" that Scripture clearly and repeatedly tells us are satanically run organizations, and that Jesus is presently in the process of destroying.
> "I think you are reading the bible under the influence of ideology."
You know, I am tempted to conclude the same of you?🤣 But I would refer to your ideology as "traditions of men." As I've written about extensively, the traditional doctrines of most western churches are heavily biased by corrupt translations of the Scriptures toward unwarranted faith in nation-states.
> "This doesn't make sense in the full context of the New Testament."
Ah, but it ONLY makes sense in the full context. As I've studied the New Testament, it has become clear that it is actually a HANDBOOK for GOVERNMENT; just not for the KIND of governments we've grown up embedded in.
God has an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT governance structure in mind. Please compare and contrast "nation-states" with GOD's distributed, decentralized, government in which JESUS is "the blessed and ONLY Sovereign" as described here:
https://peakd.com/kingdom/@creatr/the-state-or-god-s-kingdom-a-comparison-chart
> "...clearly there's no intent to destroy them- at least not all of them."
Au contrare; please re-read Daniel 2? As well as several other passages cited in the above articles?😀 Jesus is destroying ALL the nations, except for the ONE nation Peter describes in his first letter:
"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." - 1 Peter 2:9
Thank you again--very sincerely--for responding. I'm more than glad to answer any additional questions you may have, especially after you've had a chance to read the above articles.🙏🏻💖👍
I read it like I read an old ideological text I used to be fond of.
Used to call myself an anarchist as many influenced by the Austrian school of economics did. But it became apparent that there's a trap- the ideology prevents the implementation of principles, so you just basically embark on a never-ending attempt to "educate" the other people.
Well a lot of other people want power and will take it if they have a chance.
And a lot of people actually prefer to be subordinate. They want direction- someone to tell them what to do and/or that things will be okay.
In the bible there's patriarchy. There are kings. There's slavery- particularly noticeable because folks could be fine upstanding members of the faithful and keep slaves.
But instead of having a rather small hierarchy over our heads, now we have bureaucracy. Ten thousand rather than a few. And they tell us we are more free now. Hah!
No individual human or group of humans has any right to arbitrarily exercise dominion over other humans. Despite the false teaching of Catholicism and other apostate organizations claiming to be "Christian," Jesus and the entire Bible teach otherwise:
https://peakd.com/library/@creatr/the-kingdom-of-jesus-god-the-heavens-my-library-shelf
In fact, Jesus is in the process of dismantling and abolishing nation-states:
https://peakd.com/christianity/@creatr/lunch-with-a-friend-the-outcome
This doesn't make sense in the full context of the New Testament. The "nations" clearly exist in Revelations. Some level of governance is legitimized by Jesus and later by Paul. I think you are reading the bible under the influence of ideology, but ideology has consistently failed to provide us decent results. If the nations are worshiping God in the new heaven and earth, clearly there's no intent to destroy them- at least not all of them. There's probably a Sodom or two, but overall we can't pretend nations are not generally a part of God's plan.
This is a ridiculous non-story. Everyone can tell why he won that debate. He could have swapped out with some random guy in the street, and the random guy would have won that debate. And it's highly likely this Gish dude won a few debates in his lifetime too.
Has anyone figured out how to find new stuff on nostr without needing eyebleach? Tried muting on primal, but can't make "network" very much better than when I started. Anything new worth looking at?
You know, it seems like- after attempting to take the life of one candidate and it fails- in this particular situation it might make sense for certain people to then attempt to take the life of the other one. It is the other one who is defying his donors, after all.
It would be easily staged as a retaliation from some orange man supporter. Yet, no doubt, if it is done, it will be done more professionally and the people who benefit will be those same democrat donors droning on about how Biden must resign.
This isn't a strong prediction or anything. I just realized things might work out well for these donors, the globalists, "THEM" if it does happen.
Because everything is so tilted to Trump right now, I don't think they can fake it like they did last time- and they relied on the fact that most people aren't very numerate and can't understand a statistical argument. Maybe that's what they want- let Trump win and then let the economy collapse and blame him for it.
But that means other interests- like those pushing war will be put out. Ukraine, the Middle East, our increasing bellicosity towards China- all that would stop with Trump. Additionally, whoever is into allowing so much illegal migration here would be put out. So some folks won't give in and just let him win. I guess it depends on what percentage of 'them' are down with one thing rather than the other.
I've been seeing foreign women, usually with children, begging in parking lots. Something about them makes me wonder if there isn't an organization that drops them off in these parking lots and makes them beg. Often it seems like they have no car and are relatively far away from bus stops.
nostr:npub107ru69ty2jtnxp7vlqsyze35hylv8ngf4wjedggs9kf6juphw4ksq9zpem looked me straight in the eyes today and said:
“Dad, why do you pay taxes if the government just prints money out of thin air?”
I’m so proud he asked the question, but what should I tell him?
Well, they do it to force us to use their money. I figure this is a good thing for him to know.
Is plebstr still being worked on? I haven't seen an update in a while. Also a lot of notes just sort of hang, never loading completely.
They take the research and then insist everyone should eat breakfast, but a healthy person with a fast metabolism will naturally want breakfast. If you are trying to lose weight and you aren't hungry, it makes sense not to eat- burn the fat you are trying to lose.
Hopefully, we eventually create the same conditions- i.e. we eat breakfast because we are healthy, have a fast metabolism, etc... but it doesn't make sense to pronounce this meal as an essential. What are your goals? Are you hungry? This isn't an arena where 'fake it till you make it' works.
I'd like to see some private libraries created.
A lot of people think libraries are pointless now, but that's due in large part to the bureaucracy and wokeness that has been a part of public libraries now for too long.
Notice how bad Google is now? The need for these services are more dire than ever, but your average library has just bought a bunch of crappy online services and tells you to believe the narrative instead of doing what they should be doing.
Seems like Google can be beat as a search engine, because Google a decade or two ago was better than it is now.
Previous to this dire situation, color revolution style protests showed up in Israel over an attempt to reform the judiciary. Perhaps this was not working as well as the promoters of color revolutions wanted. Surely, there's enough surveillance infrastructure there to catch an incursion of this size.
Using the justice system to bully lawyers into pleading guilty may be a problem in terms of building a case against your primary target. The primary target went to these lawyers for legal advice. He didn't go to these lawyers to break the law- he went to these lawyers to get what he wanted done via the law.
Although I'm sure these people will try to contort things even further in an attempt to get what they want.
Thanks. From the titles, it looks like they might know a few things.
More likely a defensive measure. Reduce exposure to the lunatic government. Hold the dollars in case China has to deal with the same SWIFT related problems Russia did. Perhaps they have a military project in mind that USG may not like.
I don't see them needing a lot of USD liquidity as a buffer just to flip the peg. They just need to be willing to have a lot of HKD holders be unhappy. But I also think this is probably way down on the priority list. Of course, I'm in America, listening to our crazy government doing and saying crazy things, so I'm more inclined to think priority number one is reduce exposure/reliance on these complete nuts.
No doubt the view is different in Hong Kong.
Yeah, but if I buy the most organic/pure ingredients and make something, it tend to be more satisfying and I can wait longer between treats.
Also, I end up waiting longer because good ingredients costs more, so giving in more often would cost me more.
I usually don't even look at these things because I assume there are a lot of bad ingredients in them. Way back in the day when I was losing weight, I once had a plateau that turned out to be because a coffee shop was giving me some coffee mate type stuff instead of real cream.
Power came back on. So now I will try to sleep again. Weird little blackout in a small part of the neighborhood.
