I could talk about cannabis for days , went to a cannabis online university, worked at a government dispenserary and worked at an illegal dispenserary. Have grown, made edibles , rosins, tinctures , and topicals. Ask me anything!

This is why I follow you…

I have much of the same knowledge with over 30 years of personal experience and…my Mom was a stoner too 😙💨😶‍🌫️ it’s in my blood. (Literally and figuratively)

Oof. I wish. My parents both have never used cannabis in there lives. Or drugs. They are very straight edge if you will. So the moment they found out I used cannabis. Life was challenging. Thank God for the day I was playing cards with my folks and grandparents, and my grandmother spoke up and said; I think I'll go smoke the corn cob pipe with William. After that moment my parents never pressured me and understood how it actually helped me in a medical way. It helps my adhd, and my back pain, as I have a 37 degree curve in my spine.

My Mom attributes my birth to her wild weekend smoking Mellow Yellow….which I still don’t know anything about but it’s a funny story.

And my Dad introduced me to Thai Stick after I told him the story about having tried “honey” oil. (Neither honey nor oil, but that’s what we called it then; ahhh the 80’s in Northern California)

What should I do with stoner.com ? I've heard and POC'd some ideas, but the issues with payment processors and licenses related to healing products seem herculean. I'm leaning towards a ancillary product/service.

I’ve been trying to buy my last name on one of the big TLDs for years so I can have firstname.lastname.com, firstname@lastname.com, etc.

so if stoner was my last name I would probably use the domain for personal/family website, email, etc.

It took me 8 years, going physically to businesses based off WHOIS registrations cash in hand, and annoying various executives and IT staff on Twitter until I was able to secure it. You will get there once the universe decides to open the pathway.

legend!

the one I’m after has whois privacy turned on, but the domain redirects to another that doesn’t. I send them a friendly email every 6-12 months offering to buy but I’ve yet to receive a reply.

any clever ideas?

You can try some of the things I did and pivot to your specific case. Also, the WHOIS for your ideal domain does not show any info due to privacy controls, but the webpage itself does and has a physical address listed at the bottom, FYI.

- Sign up for a reputable backorder domain service

- Calendar alerts for domain expiration dates

- Find IT/web staff and executives on Twitter and DM them with a serious offer

- Find IT/web staff and executives on LinkedIn and DM them with a serious offer. Find out if they have future plans for the site or if they are interested in offloading it

- Run a historical WHOIS to determine a chain of custody and probe historical WHOIS owners for information about new owner and purchase price

- Run a report for the domain sale history to determine historical sales prices

- Show up at public company events (if possible) w/ probing questions. Know when to leave as you are the weird question person at that point

- Offer novelty payment such as (0.01, 0.1, 1 bitcoin)

- Offer a subdomain redirect to the company in exchange/negotiations

- Hack the domain registration yourself (kidding…)

- Don’t lowball and counter too much as it can hamper negotiations. You really only have one or two offers before the seller will lose interest as the top .com TLD registrations receive a ton of solicitations. Be laser focused in your approach
