What bodies of water are near you? First thing to know I think is know your game e.g. species you’re after, what they eat, and when. Fish are fickle, but once you figure them out it’s more a matter of getting out there than anything else.
And by figure them out I mean what lure do they consistently go for? It is probably different seasonally and even throughout the day. Also get a synopsis for your region so you know the limits/restrictions. I would imagine many forums can be combed for specific information that will help you be successful!
