Maybe we can compromise and all the people who don't want to contribute to society can get dropped in a big forest and kept away from society. No goods shipped in, no medicine, not even raw materials like metal ores to jump start things from the ground up. Surely all these entirely self sufficient individuals will have no problem sourcing everything they need from the land.
I 100% understand not liking how some of the tax money is spent. But you also massively benefited from infrastructure, technology, legal enforcement, and economics that were massively enabled by tax funding. I could be convinced to embrace some sort of compromise, but raging about how ALL taxes are theft just sounds like a petulant child upset that they can't have their cake and eat it, too.
An absence of government is not an absence of civilization or society. The government picks things that people are already doing and then monopolizes them, uses them for other purposes, and then weaponizes them against you, turning rights into privileges.
I believe that Anne Frank would have had a longer and less brutal life absent a government that conscripted her forbearers, bankrupted her nation, and turned her own community against her.
Here is the compromise. All taxes are optional. All interactions are voluntary and social in nature. You want to pay for your fire department, you voluntarily pay a discrete tax that is just for the fire department.
You don't want to bomb cave men in Afghanistan that didn't do anything to you, you don't pay terror war tax.
Of course these people create money from nothing, so either way they will mortgage your retirement and your children's future to do it.
But they don't get to break someone's leg, hand them a crutch, and then say they are being ridiculous for not accepting the paradigm.
