Ich stelle gerade fest, dass es besser ist, noch keine längeren Texte mit Bildern (ehem. Threads) zu verfassen, wenn man kurzzeitig Amethyst verlässt. Bei Rückkehr war die Arbeit leider weg.

Same. But try to show Damus to a normal social media user.

Then: Why are the images and profile pictures not showing half of the time?

I use Amethyst... it actually runs pretty smooth. Two years ago I had similar ux with Twitter, that got fixed. I am sure, this will get fixed on here, too

Veto. Damus läuft hervorragend.
Für normale Internetnutzer ist das einfach furchtbar.
Keine Bilder-Uploads, keine Gifs, keine Lösch- oder Editierbarkeit, eigene Followerzahlen unbeständig, Relays-Ausfall, Nachrichtenverteilung unbestimmbar, Priv. Messages unzuverlässig, Private-Key Handling und und und… Das ist für normale Social-Media Nutzer unnutzbar.
Teste es einfach. Such dir 2 normale Menschen in deiner Nähe und zeige ihnen das tolle #Nostr via #Damus.
Da zeigt sich schnell was für ein Haufen Nerds wir sind und welche Flaws und Widrigkeiten wir hier einfach wegen reinem Fanboyism übersehen.
A "normal user" doesn't even understand Twitter / Instagram when use it for first time. That doesn't matter, everyone needs to be taken by the hand and needs guidance.
Same for the people working on #nostr, as they can only fix things if we provide feedback.
I am willing to do for the better. 🙂
And I'm sute the normal people won't understand this as they still choose to use WhatsApp just because it's "convenient" or all the homies are there...

So lets face the issues where we see them. I see a lot when showing nostr to normal everyday whatsapp/twitter users.
Their feedback is worth much more than our decentralized fan-bubble-talk.
#Nostr (and clients like #Damus) are still full of flaws and little stumbling blocks we love to fade out as we love decentralization.
We need to bring UX to the standards of whatsapp - not change the user to accept flaws.
Vielleicht ist es ein Weg den Text woanders zu verfassen und in Ruhe aufzuarbeiten, dann copy / paste in Amerhyst.
Zumindest solange die App noch so buggy ist…
Hatte ein ähnliches Problem mit Damus. Einmal zu doll durch den geschriebenen Text gescrolled und weg war er 😂 Viertel Stunde meines Lebens verschwendet. Seitdem schreibe ich entweder woanders oder Speicher den Text immer mal wieder im Zwischenspeicher ab ☺️
