This is some of my thought with The Event of Bitcoin.

It demands of all beings the logic of self-sovereignty in the digital age. It asks the question, “Are you free? If so prove your sovereignty with the only act that will be proof of just that.”

The only proof that can be provided in the digital age because of topology of this new space is the praxis of Bitcoin. Only Bitcoin can provide the grounding that is the fulcrum that can liberate humanity; which now captures everyone in the same capacity in which the state has: legitimacy.

Is Bitcoin and the oath it proves to uphold towards its cryptographic social contract more legitimate, or is the state and its oath to its law? It is the question of the ‘nomos’ in the world where the digital occupies a whole new dwelling for man. Perhaps his last dwelling where he will be more at home than he is in a fallen world.

By very virtue of Bitcoin now providing a legitimate answer to the question of fiat authority, bitcoin forces the question of what it means to be sovereign in the digital age. This is better for all peoples everywhere, because it raises the consciousness of all beings towards a peace that can only be provided through language.
