Node question:

If I have a newish high end computer that I use for computationally heavy work and need to ensure its longevity because I can’t replace it for many years, is it worth running a full node from that machine for like 8 hours a day?

I don’t know that much about how running a node affects the hardware.

I also don’t like leaving it running over night.

Is there any use to adding a node?
