If bitcoin is to succeed, none of the above will have mattered. Bitcoin will bitcoin in a free market of sovereign men and women. It will adapt and grow amid the efforts of intelligent business men and well meaning crypto anarchists developers or people like me putting comments on nostr. In 100 years time bitcoin will have succeeded due to its own properties or it will not.

I don’t believe these to be mutually exclusive. Rich people want privacy more. Central banks and governments don’t want it for the plebs, but we are gonna get it anyway.
