They’re useful especially with a chronological feed. But we all follow multiple people, and if all I see in my feed for several scrolls is one person rapidly reposting a dozen of their own posts then it’s a huge turn off and I’ll probably mute or unfollow.

Oh reposting of your own notes, yeah that makes more sense. Would be cool to have clients or relays filter these out if the reposted note matches a note that has already been viewed.

Nostur has that feature and it helps with notes you’re already seen. My thing is, I don’t care if I haven’t seen them yet, if my feed is filled with only one person’s notes then it feels intrusive and I’m likely to mute or unfollow the person over it.
