What is employment
So a job. I define work differently, working out for instance or working towards your goals, or working things out with a friend. Work is good.
Resting is Work
War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength

Jobs with wages will trend towards zero.
I see entrepreneurial activity up though. Hard workers will not work less, they'll just be orders of magnitude more productive.
I'm aware the people I'm my circle aren't representative, but I think this will take a generation or two to achieve. And a new economic model.
If the people I know were to have their work hours replaced by AI they would do nothing but watch sports ball all day.
I'm the only hodler in my circle, if it happened to me I'd just upscale my side hustle. And accept #bitcoin.
In an AI world, handmade, locally produced items will have high value.
Weirdly, AI could herald a resugance in heritage crafts and skills..
I wonder how many times in history people have had this thought about technology and what the rationales are for it definitely being the case this time.
Also the idea of AI is to make our lives easier/better right? If uou feel it's better you do work you can still do it even if it is not necessary.

Modern humans have been trained to follow orders from their bosses etc, slaving away in the fiat mines while the majority of the value we creates is siphoned away by taxes and inflation.

Either you work by hunting, farming and fighting to survive or you work by doing tasks for someone else to pay you so you can buy stuff to eat and survive.
