If it’s paid I expect 0 ads

isn't it really sucky for the devs to make one-time payment work in a longer time-span?

I’d prefer to just pay whatever price that’s asked if I see value in the app. So if you normally charge 6.99/mo just charge me a year’s worth and if you want more money from me, release a paid update that’s worth paying for.

I know this probably is less profitable for devs since most people are cheap but that’s how I’d like to use things.

Yeah, you make a fair point. Devs leave a lot of money on the table, when they don't have yearly payment options available and even higher one-time payments

i agree w/ this, paid updates is a great idea

If the app requires continued maintainence (databases or heavy backend operations) it's going to be a continuing cost. I'm not sure if a one time payment can sustain it, but Im hopeful about a microtransactions model. Which is what I'm thinking about for formstr.

Yeah, this is what I was aiming at, well put
