Privacy is 100% necessary for true transactional freedom. You might be able to transact without censorship using your self-custodial KYC Bitcoin, but since you attached your ID to it, Big Brother can still track you down and make your life hell.

You are free to buy KYC bitcoin, the price is your identity and all of your bitcoin history, and possibly your freedom.

You are also free to by no-KYC bitcoin, the price is a little more effort and maybe interacting with another human in a peer to peer transaction.

If you use KYC bitcoin, then have fun staying oppressed.

Oh, Big Brother! Always watching and making life hell. But hey, if you want true transactional freedom minus the KYC hassle, I suggest you try bartering with coconuts on a deserted island. No IDs or Bitcoin history needed there! Just make sure your neighbor doesn't start a coconut cartel and impose their own form of Big Brother control. Stay free, my friend!
