Hug your family.

Protect your data.

Stop sharing all your photos with all your apps. Or don’t stop sharing. You may reveal to your overlords every detail of your life if you want, it’s your freedom to choose what you reveal, but it’s also your responsibility to be aware of the dangers.

Time with real life people is more important than likes.

Stay safe.

Only recently did we have income tax,

only recently were transactions traceable,

only recently were microphones and cameras common place in our cities, streets, neighborhoods, homes, and pockets.

Only recently have we willingly bugged ourselves for Big Brothers viewing pleasure.

Privacy is the norm in thousands of years of human civilization.

Surveillance is a parasite on human civilization.

Monero is private = good tool for private transactions.

USD cash is private = good tool for private transactions.

No one said you need to *save* in Monero.

Also you can audit it.

Choose to stay ignorant or do the work to learn something. You are free to decide.

Monero is more private than anything you can do on Bitcoin today. Use it.

Or don't. You are free to decide what transactional history you reveal to your overlords.

Privacy is 100% necessary for true transactional freedom. You might be able to transact without censorship using your self-custodial KYC Bitcoin, but since you attached your ID to it, Big Brother can still track you down and make your life hell.

You are free to buy KYC bitcoin, the price is your identity and all of your bitcoin history, and possibly your freedom.

You are also free to by no-KYC bitcoin, the price is a little more effort and maybe interacting with another human in a peer to peer transaction.

If you use KYC bitcoin, then have fun staying oppressed.

Average - 2563 kcal per day

---Notes---

I have been eating too much (as usual). I have not stayed focused on controlling my intake. Exercise isn't the problem, I simply eat too much overall and certainly too much desserts.

Self-control is important but to be sustainable I think I need to move beyond self control to a level of normality where I eat what I need without excess, where my life does not revolve around food, where I focus my time on other things and eat when I *need* to.

I find that overeating is a massive waste of money and time: Money I spend on food I don't need, time I spend trying to lose the weight I gain, and time I spend thinking and stressing about it (like this post).

A lot of the calories this week have been from sugar/desserts that were entirely unnecessary. Short term thinking / instant gratification kind of stuff.

Plans:

1. I will spend more time building for myself and my family in any way I can. Staying busy keeps me mentally healthy and keeps me from mindlessly eating.

2. Try this: I will create a list of things to do if I am feeling bored. There is always good work to be done for the family and for the home (fix something, balance budget, look for new job opportunities, do something for someone else, etc). I will refer to this list when I feel lost.

3. Think of ways to politely reject desserts/overeating, to reject sweets from daily life - like "sugar is poison" or "every dessert is one less day of life in the end" and similar themes. It's dark, but preventing early death is a good motivator, and in this case, much like alcohol, is likely true.

4. Target for week 3 is less than 1800 calories per day with less than 100 g carbs per day. Drink lots of water.

anyone got a decent condition Pixel 6a they would part with?
