how's it different from mace work?

Because it is shorter and maybe because of its shape. The leverage on it is different allowing you to do different movements which targets various muscles differently. I know, kinda vague but it is new to me. It is definitely different though. My forearms and abs are screaming right now.

From my experience, having that shorter lever allows you to do more precise movements that mimics how a human naturally moves. I love the mace, but I think that it mostly hits the upper body forgetting the legs. The core exercise for the club is the mill and reverse mill which engages you entire body, even your ankles. I recommend Mark Wildman I’ve learned everything from him
