Donβt get me wrong, you CAN use Nostr DMs obviously. Theyβre just not robust or reliable in their current form. No amount of wanting them to be is going to change that. Most people have other messaging apps, so find something they have and use that. Itβs not like I can say what people already have. I have half a dozen apps for messaging various people, depending what they use. Itβs just the state of things. The best you could probably do with Nostr is to run your own relay and only allow people you DM with on Nostr to connect to it so it preserves those messages.

Oh cool. Good to know that issue will be fixed. If it works for what you need, then by all means. π€ Nostr DMs just donβt have the features I need in order to ditch other services, even for messaging other Nostr users. Random messages here and there, quick questions, etc, those work for me directly on Nostr. But anything where I need a more feature rich app has to move off Nostr. Iβm sure it will improve, but for now I see no reason to suffer through that period. Nostr is for public communication as far as Iβm concerned. π€·ββοΈ
