We are at the stage where Bitcoiners will rug themselves and those who they are onboarding to the custodial wallets ! Very sad that I have to deal and explain the basic principals of bitcoin and self custody to those who have been for a while in this space ! Also I stopped treating people a smart if they hold bitcoin !

The cold storage yeah coldcard, Jade, seedsigner is the way to go.

If we are talking about lightning I would suggest to use none custodial wallets such as phoenix Breez, zeus will soon offer a lightning node on your phone as well.
