Yes relays are important, generally try to keep 10-20. Also check from time to time if they are not down. One of the reasons why your posts may not go through, it looks like you dint follow others etc. It's also good to have 2 different clients, I use for example Primal and Amethyst. After some time you'll see that it's smooth, and (hopefully) be very happy to be here 💜

Of course you can (if you want / if that makes sense to you), but each will have a different pair of keys. Amethyst even allows you to keep multiple accounts in one application. For example, this is my private profile (the one I'm talking to you from right now), but this nostr:nprofile1qqsqhc9tsz9vuh2j3zvlf80zcl278ef24lv34mn2augzg3hkkmpttrqpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpr9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrfvfex2mr9v9nzucm0d5q3jamnwvaz7tmwwpex77re9e4hy6tnw3shqumt9ek8vpn5pj5 is another account, a project I run for families and children. To both I'm logged in via Amethyst. But 😊 you don't have to have multiple accounts/profiles to use different applications - that's the beauty of Nostr. You have a pair of keys to the profile you're using now and with that you can log in wherever you want - whether it's multiple applications (clients) for social media (Damus, Amethyst, Primal, etc), blogging sites (Habla etc), music sites (ZapStream, Tunstr, Harmony, etc) podcast apps (Fountain, Wavelake, etc.)
Thanks 🙏 so much for this valuable information- I am going to try out Amethyst soon. Do they have the same relays over there as on Primal? I have still not been able to figure out why I am not able to follow and therefore see the feeds of those I follow….
You can set your relays manually. Check those on primal and compare to what amethyst has, add extra what you want (here are even more to explore https://nostr.watch/)
