Probably yeah, but you can never really trust it. I don’t understand how these apps and extensions that protect it work tho.
The amount of times I've seen people threatening to leak each other's DM's after a minor tiff is pretty sad. Even if the platform is secure it only takes the other person being a humungous fag and the privacy is gone.
Use a secure messenger you can't take screenshots of, like Briar or Threema.
Some XMPP clients also offer this ability, but then again I'm just speaking from my Droidfag point of view.
