I agree with you buddy, but I think it’s highly unlikely because most of the world doesn’t really care about btc at this point imho. Plus the release of emails have a larger political agenda that isn’t btc adjacent but a form of blackmail to some folks high up in the food chain

I agree. The Epstein thing isn't good optics but any issues concerning core devs is going to be quite far removed from most people's thinking. Particularly when most people can't even define what fiat means or what a blockchain is.

Exactly! It’s not that big a story for the mockingbird media but they are definitely going to be orbiting around whether or not DJT is in the files or not, among other things. Buckle up for that and possibly impeachment #3 😂

I appreciate the optimism. But I think most people that should be interested or at least open to bitcoin won't know that bitcoin isn't the same as bitcoin _core_ -- they'll just hear "bitcoin" and "Epstein" too close to each other in the same sentence and say "Uh, I'm out."

Not so much optimism but a realistic assumption based on how self interested the average person is, coupled with which enemies I think are priority #1 for the powers that be. Will some folks react how you described above? Absolutely, those will be there too, but in my estimation they’ll be a very small minority. In other words we aren’t going to see a crash to 50k because of it. I could be wrong on all fronts. We’ll just wait and see what sort of impact, if any, this will have.
