I'm not going to self-host everything.
I'm not going to pay to run everything on a webserver.
I'm not going to fork everybody's stuff.
I'm not going to read everybody's source code.

Saying out loud what we all secretly admit.
Then you need trust
Yes. We all use trust to navigate our daily lives.
Or do you inspect every kitchen, before you eat your meal?
Do you inspect every bridge, before you drive over it?
I haven't read one line of code and will i mostly not.. she broke a comment pretty good hahaha i agree
Yes, self-hosting is a good idea. We aim to make it be easy-peasy.
We self-host applications. We read the source. We fork the repo. We run a webserver.
The point being that not everyone will self-host everything.
I hear ya. My aim is to try and change that dynamic. We need to make it easy for folks to self-host. This gives us back our data and dramatically slows down big tech and governments monopoly on custodial data.
