It makes you wonder though, the relevance of these skills.

Even topography and basic math.

These skills had mayor relevance when we didn’t cary super computers in our pockets.

But now? I’m not so sure.

Nah, I want my kid to be able to write. We may not always have these computers in our pockets. Writing is not a lost art.

You’re right.

If anything, it’s a tradition that I cherish. Being able to write with pen on paper. And there’s also a certain honor in being able to spell.

But these skills might fall into the same category as being able to drive a stick shift soon.
