I paid for a ticket in MOMA last year and gave it away walking out. The lady looked astonished I gave it to her and I had no idea why or why others didn’t do the same thing.
Yes, it is often calculated art. Every work by him or his collective is loud and aims for maximum media impact and sharability. It's a bit like AI art, I think. There are interesting extensions of art how we know it today, but also really dull, soulless boring stuff.
