Only just found out today that stackernews has different topic rooms/ forums/ sections/ 'territories' (on the drop down menu, unfortunately not very clear).

Curious 🤔

Do we have any idea of the stats on stacker news user numbers/growth?

Is stackernews considered a nostr client? 🤔

Has an appallingly off-putting Bitcoin-centric front page and the name is pretty crap. But otherwise interesting lol

Dude, it's a Bitcoin forum.

Yeah, I would say it is. However I didn't know it had sun forums (the drop down). I still think it is a Bitcoin forum WITH other subforums lol.

It's like going to the The Dungeon Synth forum and saying 'it's not just dungeon synth there's a General Chat section'.

It's like going to a soccer stadium to talk about your fabergé egg collection, and then being unhappy about everyone chanting football slogans and doing mexican waves and shit.

I think the format of stackernews works tho, it looks good, apart from the subsections not being obvious. It could be forked, given a different name etc. it at least proves that there is a desire for the forum format and Other Topics

Stacker News posts can be made to automatically cross-post to nostr and you can sign in to Stacker News with your nostr credentials. Is that enough to be considered a client?

Not a nostr client, web forum with nostr integrations
