Unfollowing all RSS feeds again.

Remembering why I stopped following the news - somehow it just makes me feel like shit. I stopped the news cycle years ago (including all tech news), but followed the newly created RSS feeds in hopes of starting more conversations.

Now that feeling of being overwhelmed with a constant stream of information that I frankly just don’t need is creeping back into my day to day. No thanks. Cutting it off again. You’ll just have to see my stupid old garden photos, design gibberish and occasional crappy old YouTube song link. I hope that doesn’t offend you.

Gn! Information overload is a real thing!

The news is cancer my friend. A brief glance at the National news to make sure we’re not at war (again) is all I do.

We need to go back to not being involved in outside our local area. Touching grass and knowing our neighbors is better.

Less input... more output... good choice.

Bots like #[2]​ or #[3]​ are the way for me. You can still be pretty aware of what’s happening without getting your ass absolutely kicked with tons of (sometimes) stuff that doesn’t add value to you.

Is not perfect but it works for discovery. Maybe you already do follow bots but for whoever is reading this is a lot better IMHO 🤙🏻

I come here for people, I go to a rss reader for news from sources I like. Mixing becomes something close to the mess of an email inbox.

Watching main stream media is bad for mental health and the soul. If you were to believe only what they tell you, the world is a dark depressing place which is false.

There is a lot of good and so much more out there.

Agree on everything. Just consume what I need.

I avoid the large pipe of news, depending on big stories to spill into my life organically. The hard part is that other people are filtering that news for it to reach me. Outsourcing stress and mental health? 😕
