How many people are active on #nostr ? Feels like such a small community but maybe I’m not accessing the right relays

So go to nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m profile and click on his followers- hit “follow all”
That populated my feed pretty quick
It’s a relatively ‘small’ community and it depends what sort of content you’re after? I see you only have four relays. It was recommended to me that 10 is a good number 🤷🏼♀️.
There’s also a benefit to paid relays but I haven’t figured that one out yet.
Daily active users hovers around 10k

Follow plebs, and check out their following list to follow others you align with.
You won't see what you don't follow. There's no algorithm here to provide "similar accounts to this" etc. Give 200 follows across your relays and then you'll have to clean it up to fit your interests.
Also dammit you can't unlike or unrepost anything, just like I did with my previous answer😀
What are you thoughts on that? Seems like somewhat of a faulty feature. Does it have to do with the blockchain aspect or just a new app with less features
I actually have no clue, but since we're posting on several relays and some we have in common, it makes sense it won't behave like a centralized thing. Your app won't take back what you put on relay that doesn't belong to that app. It's all unbelievable punk😀Let's #asknostr
It won't (and shouldn't) compare to the large corporate social medias. It hasn't been around terribly long and there is a bit more of a learning curve here still compared to other places. There's also a huge chunk of some of the most active users currently over in Japan at an event called Nostrasia.

Hey Sam, lots of people here but it feels a little different then x. I recommend looking through follow lists from people you trust and also hashtags like #plebchain #grownostr.
since there is no default algo finding content requires following more people and engaging more than x so sometimes it feels like a little more work... however in return, this community offers more genuine engagement than I've seen anywhere else.
A couple paid relays doesn't hurt either. You can see which one anyone else uses on a lot of clients.
