Why are people still developing things with passwords?

What should they use?

since this is nostr, I guess assymetric encryption. For which you need to type in your password to access your secret key 😛

To be dependant of nothing

email and google login are better for that

So in one case you are dependant of email and in the other case you are dependant of google.

In this case I prefer to be dependant of nostr login. It's just better.

If passwords were worth a damn, why do we need 2FA?

For a better security

A better security than passwords?

Passwords alone are less secure than password + an other authentication methode like TOTP by email.

I think the best is to let the user decide witch level of security they want.
