I feel like that would be a lot of work, mabye just unfollow the ones you don't like seeing on your feed

I guess you more or less know who you're engaging most with or who's engaging with you. Thus I'd suggest to head over to listr, create some custom lists of people you're interested in, like devs, frens etc, and the filter your timeline by those lists.

gradually unfollow other accounts (don't really have to if you're using lists) and keep adding people to your lists. Eventually you'll get the result and content you're striving for. It's not a quick way to manage your followage but turns into just that as time passes.

Eq. I have a friendstr list which I set in noStrudel first in the morning and when I get home to see what my friends have been doing. Then, 3 pots of coffee later, I'm ready for everyone else's content

i just unfollow everyone monthly and refollow everyone following me. its not a perfect fix but it gets rid of people i dont want to follow. it takes 5 - 10 mins
