Just a long night in the tombs (with some precinct holding cell and quick court exit on either end). it was during a "zero tolerance for graffiti" era in new york. aside from some of the legit violent offenders in there at the same time, there were a few guys who literally just slapped a sticker on a pole or skateboarded through the wrong police parking lot.
quite tame, by all measures. but strangely I'm glad I had the experience (i suppose I have the luxury of being "glad" about it because it really wasn't that severe, relative to what people go through). gave me some pretty deep insights into the nature of freedom
