Will we see most artists lose jobs and art start to go to 0?

Sure looks like it.

I think it just makes it easier to create at scale.

Easier and faster to produce should mean costs get lower and lower.

I’d be seriously taking a hard look if it was in the industry about job security over the next 5-10 years

Yes, I wouldn’t bank on it… did I just say that? Er… ahem, I wouldn’t cold storage my sats on it either as an individual artist.

Haha like the word smithing attempt. Bank on it may be a hard phrase to pass out. Even after all traditional banks fail

It will anachronistically remain in the lexicon like “the gold standard.”

Actually, the vast majority of artists don’t have jobs. So most of them will not notice.

I laughed out loud hahah. Zap deserved! One of my good friends is a graphic designer for a pro sports team, I was thinking about that industry mostly

Yeah well someone still needs to prompt the AI and run to the print shop, etc.

I’ll bet surprisingly few people can prompt commercially useful art.

😂🤣

Good for artists that the fine art market is a tax racket anyways.

So unless AI Art donations become deductible, there is nothing to worry about.

No the ones that are doing top-shelf work will be working for me

I think artist will always have a place and way to make a living. AI like this and with music I think will cause elite artists to rise and those untalented or I dedicated to fizzle out. It could happen to so many other industries as well over the next century

I think the AI is just reinforcing something that I find to be self-evident, which is that the masterpieces are where most of the attention and resources should be going.

Obviously more people than myself, but that’s up to them to take matters into their own hands and support these artists themselves with their own funds
