Say that 60-70% of the network is using Famus. Famus doesn't check signatures other than on metadata kind 0 this *entire time. They are incentiveized to only connect to 'safe' relay where they rely on it doing the signature check. Ie, the Famus relay. They will not touch this code even to implement nip65 list, because they need to finish this year long leapfrog manuver and do all the signature checks in the background process first.

So, that's the story of how nostr feels mor and more centralized and relays are just waiting on the sidelines like 'put me in coach!'
