Ok, #bitcoin, I really want to know how future proof my USB 2.0 cold wallet is. I’m starting to think these will be like floppy drives in 15 years, and near impossible to find a way to utilize.

yup. like music, you have to keep up to date or you find yourself with a bunch of 8 track tapes and nothing to play them with.
I guess this is the way. Don’t throw away that old PC with the floppy drive!

The USB2.0 device is only an interface to your assets on the blockchain so if that technology becomes obsolete, I suspect the replacement will offer access in the new way. Same way movies are still accessible even though laser disc technology fizzled out.
Sure, but getting a laser disk converted to play on any modern system is mighty difficult for the average user I would imagine. I know cold wallets are the #BTC standard, but I imagine a scenario where those devices either get corrupted or are no longer compatible.
