Gold is used for HQ components and connectors, I'm sure silver is used as it's a cheaper high conductive metal vs gold.
For example, on a stick of ram, the pins are gold plated, not silver.
Tbh never hear of silver being used over copper or gold for connectivity.

Gold is a meme for electrical equipment. Silver actually is a better metal than copper but the but the cost usually outweighs the benefits
