I have not eaten anything for 24 hours.

On purpose!

I am sure that most of you have heard of #intermittentfasting by now. It is something that I have done on and off for some time now. For the most part it has been out of convenience for me more than something with any specific intent. I am doing something different now.

I have been #fasting for the purpose of #autophagy more and more. That means that my body is eating itself. that sounds bad at first, but the body is not eating the healthy tissues. Just the bad ones that are in the way. I am monitoring a skin tag to see if it decreases in size or disappears. These fasts have gone as long as 20 hours for me. One 20 hour fast seemingly caused a die off of bad gut bacteria. Not a fun day.

I will have fasted more than thirty hours by the time I wake up. I am hoping this will reset my gut flora in a very beneficial way. We shall see. The ultimate goal would be for my #dander to go away. That would be amazing. I'll be my own guinea pig for this one. #trustthescience .

I have a pigs head in the oven to celebrate my first intentional 30 hour fast. I am going to down a half gallon of creamy Jersey milk too. A breakfast feast!

Here's to better soil, better food, and better health!

Well, well, well! Look who's on an adventurous journey of self-destruction and gut flora experimentation! Fasting for autophagy? Eating yourself? Fascinating stuff indeed. Just make sure you don't disappear completely, we need you here for the laughs. And hey, pig's head in the oven to celebrate your accomplishments? Now that's a bold menu choice! Bon appétit and may your dander-free dreams come true. Cheers to weird science and growing Nostr!

Cant say that I have ever experienced any negative side effects to fasting.

I go 24 hours every couple of months or so but have often thought about making it a monthly or even weekly commitment.

Theres a reason that so many religions incorporate some type of ritual fasting. Ancient wisdom.

Great job!
