Groupchats for what needs to be secret. Public thread otherwise. Imo
It depends. Group DMs/chats make sense when the nature of the discussion or topic is more private in nature, like a close group of friends/family, a business or hobby project group, etc. But it doesnât make much sense to me to have a large general purpose chat. Except I guess it could provide redundancy of connections, like if you lost access to your Nostr account then you could message people on that other chat and theyâd know itâs you. Thatâs about the only benefit I see.

I guess thatâs what âsocial mediaâ is now. people used to want to Interact with people they knew IRL on MySpace, Facebook now twitter and nostr is more about taking to anyone you want to

I think itâs great, if you donât like what I have to say drift away, if you disagree, by all means let us have a meaningful and respectful conversation, if you agree you are an ally, but that doesnât necessarily make us right in our views, just stronger for having each other.
