1) i don't think covenants help with quantum resistance. i believe they are completely orthogonal

2) the problem with using quantum resistance as a motivation is that there is no hard evidence of an actual threat. it's all vaporware and rumors.

we actually need covenants to scale noncustodial bitcoin. do we need quantum resistance? maybe not! nobody has proven the need and that day may never come. quantum is all bark and no bite, still, after all these years
