I've noticed that my brain adapted to AI generated images pretty fast. Basically, it works the same way as with ads to Twitter, I just scroll ahead barely noticing the content of an AI generated image. I assume going forward those images either die down as flashing banners in the early web or they evolve into something of a better quality.
