I ditched some free relays and lost a lot of "FirstName LastName" followers. They need to do a purge on those relays. Some assholes are just using them to build spam/surveillance botnets.
I dont think i want nostr to be a gated community. Don't care about the surveillance because i don't share any identifying information through nostr.
But the spam is annoying yes.
I agree, purging could be a slippery slope. Maybe I'll try talking to them.
