🌙 Let's journey through the profound concept of Aakhirah (the Hereafter) in Islam and its significance in our lives. 🌌

The Aakhirah is the life after death, a realm where every soul will be held accountable for its deeds, and therefore rewarded with good and punished for their wrongdoings. It comprises the life in the grave, Barzakh, the Day of Judgment, Paradise (Jannah), and Hellfire (Jahannam). The Allaah says in the Quran,

كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ ذَاۤىِٕقَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۗ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوۡنَ أُجُورَكُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۖ فَمَن زُحۡزِحَ عَنِ ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدۡخِلَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ فَقَدۡ فَازَۗ وَمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۤ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡغُرُورِ﴿ ١٨٥ ﴾

Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing).

(Quran 3:185).

The purpose of Aakhirah in Allah's creation is to serve as a realm of ultimate justice, where the righteous are rewarded and the wrongdoers face consequences. An anchor point for the believers to work towards and a warning to those who turn away.

Significance in Shaping Behavior:

The belief in Aakhirah serves as a moral compass. Knowing that our actions have eternal consequences encourages righteous conduct and deters wrongdoing. It instills a sense of accountability, fostering ethical behaviour in personal, social, and economic spheres. The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

"Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler."

This Hadith emphasises the transient nature of this world and the importance of preparing for the eternal life of the Hereafter. No matter how much I propagate the idea that Bitcoin will help the Muslims purify their financial lives, none of it has any value if it’s not to benefit you on a day when every ounce of deeds will be collected and measure in full. No amount of good or bad will be missed.
