Where is the nonce in the block?
I'm guessing that it's an arbitrarily long string that is appended to the end of the block
I ask because I sometimes wonder how pre-Segwit nodes can accept the witness data in the Segwit blocks. Do those old nodes see it as simply a big nonce?
Or maybe I'm wrong, and those old nodes really do just take the first 1MB of each block, truncating the witness data?
