How can you avoid seeing feeds that you do not like here?!
I am echoing the thoughts of nostr:npub1fxzdkxlls7lk0jeamlhcgcjae2fzldhm9mp584vl5qn0e8pfshysyfax93 here. I noticed that Primal's trending mostly #btc #politics & #nostr.
Other than the animal video that I see from Amethyst, I hardly see positive content that is trending! Perhaps it is only my feeds?
#asknostr I deleted twitter/X because I do not want their energy! I am moving away from Tiktok because I do not want to be censored. I want more control on my contents.
However, if we are only drawn to those top 3 topics, are we not limiting the potential of this PROTOCOL?
Or is it just my feed? I am completely new here and I am simply sharing my observations.
Seeing negative posts and angry narratives are not healthy. I am guilty as charge because I noticed that posting topics like POLITICS ( whilst it is important) it is getting more views and engagement vs my usual content - life lessons! I am changing this!
Let's encourage more positive contents here.
PS. I am not saying the top 3 topics are less important. I am saying those are drawing different energy and to some extent, negative ones!

Hi Mae, welcome to Nostr! I would suggest playing around with different apps. Many of them have a different feed and discovery algorithms. Some, like https://coracle.social, even let you build your own algorithm if you are into that.
The app I work on, https://nos.social, has been running a program this summer to promote creators and journalists posting outside the usual topics. If you download Nos you can find a list of these folks by tapping on the Discover tab.
