Good. The more I learn about Nostr the more confused I get. Sometimes I think that I understand things, then I find out that I don’t, lol.

It is intentionally designed in a way that of you are not already inclined to computer science literacy, navigating it and getting functionality out of it is next to impossible

Hopefully, this will change as apps/clients are further developed. I don’t think the developers want to be exclusionary.

Streamlining UX with a gamified UI has usually bridged that gap

Nostr is a protocol for computers to talk to each other. Damus implements a user interface for you to send messages that relays understand. I'm using Amethyst and can read you messages from damus because they both read and publish messages that stick to the instructions of the protocol.

Thanks for this explanation!

I’m learning too.

Nostr is the protocol like tcp/ip. Damus is the platform like Twitter.

So we could be deplatformed off of Twitter, say. But not off of Nostr or tcp/ip.

As a protocol, a lot could be built on/with it. That is what is happening right now. Exciting!

It is exciting! It will be interesting to see how things play out 5-10 yrs from now.
