Egypt:

Hahahaha good point :)

Serious question, or is a great punchline following soon?

Perfect setup for a pyramid scheme punch line though.

Haha this one was already made ๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿ˜‚ I was thinking the same

Buy off Strike, or some of the other exchanges (shudders). Also, you can buy shares of BTC miners. I use https://miningsyndicate.com/

I agree, situations like this are the primary reason strike was created is it not?

I believe so!

At least someone read my response. ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿผ

Through a pyramid scheme?

๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿค™

Thereโ€™s the punchline I was waiting for ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿคฃ

Hope she gets some serious answers as wel ๐Ÿ˜…

Earn it abroad?

"Merchants" buy stables from locals at 1$ and they also have someone buy it for them abroad ..... and sell it to locals for a small premium .... that's why they are called merchants lol

Excellent question... if you find an answer please share!

Answer: face to face p2p via stables

I don't know about the banking situation but maybe P2P like hodlhodl, Bisq or Robosats.

Nope, it's more like face to face p2p

Bisq would be a good solution...but I imagine there is no liquidity for Egyptians?!

Always P2P, especially if you are in a place like Egypt.

Once purchased I'd also recommend transacting with Pharaoh Wallet

nostr, meme brokers

Are you specifically looking for exchanges?

If not, Robosats is very easy to use, secure, and very private.

If it's just starting, an exchange. But P2P is the most ideal, always.

Move to El Salvador ๐Ÿ˜€

Are there any P2P platforms that they use?

No platform .... face to face p2p (buying stables from merchants for a small premium, anything from 1-4% depends on demand)

Is Bitcoin banned in Egypt?

Yes but many Egyptians have btc

internet cafe, usb stick with bisq

P2P would seem best...

But they should definitely avoid pyramid schemes. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Its accurate but more like face to face p2p (stablecoins)

Wait That wasn't funny?

...or did I accidentally switch on the cloaking device again?

P2P ... as in face to face p2p

How it works?

You will have merchants who sell stables for a premium and buy them at 1$

Maybe a nostr based marketplace to organise face 2 face purchasing will bring a breaktrough.

Lots of dumb answers in this feed.

If I were an Egyptian, I would find work on a site like Fiverr where the customers are American/European and ask to be paid in #Bitcoin. It's a win-win for both sides. Could even then sell your Bitcoin locally at a high rate, reinvest into your Fiverr business, rinse and repeat.

I have been seeking an answer for this wrt Bangladesh as well.

Most people giving answers are clueless and never experienced payments blocked or account frozen by a middle eastern bank because of โ€œnot allowedโ€. Where I work even SWIFT transfers to Revolut are banned just because they offer โ€˜cryptoโ€™. Local P2P seems to be the most viable option if one canโ€™t transfer to an intermediary bank in letโ€™s say US or Europe without residence and KYC. International P2P in second place but this transfer can also get flagged.

Robosats. Agnostic to location

I have no experience with Egyptian situation. I just hope Egyptian community has some info about existence of Vexl application from SatoshiLabs

Not through a pyramid scheme. Iโ€™m sorry.

Please donโ€™t block me.

Binance P2P

Paxful P2P

I thought paxful closed?

Last podcast where I heard his CEO on the Bitcoin Standard Podcast, he did not mention anything about this.

He closed it on the 4th of April

He felt that it was the only good choice he had

Check his twitter, he is trying to build a fully decentralized alternative now ;)

Binance Kraken and etoro, i still think its possible Lyn

Hmm good question, if they can and have the know how id say non kyc via hodl hodl
