Looking at some LNURL options away from WoS, and here’s what I think are my choices, keeping in mind it’s early and I’m highly regarded:

1) Get Alby, with the understanding that I’d have to give them an email address. (You can get an LNURL from WoS without providing email address.)

2) Do that workaround through Telegram, which of course means dealing with email and telegram.

3) Use Zaplocker with Zeus, which of seems doable, albeit a bit cumbersome.

4) Buy a domain (ideally with bitcoin) and connect through LNbits with my node.

5) Wait patiently by the door for Bolt12 implementation.⚡️

Did I get that right? Probably not, but lemme know!

4.1) you could use something like satdress or nostdress to serve your lightning address without a full blown lnbits.

Yes, and to be clear, in all of this lightning talk, I’ve got self custody lightning wallets already running off my node.

It’s the static LNURL issue for receiving zaps that remains the open question.

Now I understand why Satoshi wanted to create an independent dns system. It wasn't to replace the existing dns infrastructure, it was to self host. I wonder why https://www.universalname.space/ or the other DID companies aren't working on this problem?

we have mutinywallet pwa or blixt for android. Maybe breez but I haven't used it yet.
