If approved, "it would be no longer the majority that would rule; the power would be transferred to the minority” when it comes to passing laws or other measures, he said in Federalist 58.

Worse, Issue One + GOP gerrymandering together will put bad legislators and bad policies out of reach of the voting majority.

Issue One is tyranny of the minority in action.

Did Madison heed his own warning when he agreed to the electoral college or denial of the franchise to women, the poor, and the 3/5ths people in Federalist ?

Our inequality is rooted in the Constitution whose authors we inexplicably revere unquestioningly for their wisdom. They did what was right for them. It helped replace a monarchy with a constitutional aristocracy.

The nation is running as designed.
