There's also the quiet part. When you incline a balance in someone's favour, it tends to disadvantage the other side. If it's love, you keep your mouth shut forever and the other side's happiness is enough.

without vulnerability, there can't be authenticity
without authenticity, there can't be a deep, profound connection
and without that connection, love can't blossom
so, in a way, i think it's a response to integrity
