Yes his solution seems to be "change the protocol so that we don't need relays" but if you study how it works all that would actually mean is "everyone is required to run their own relay that relays only to them".

Let them come for NOSTR, that's fine. Bring it on. It will only make decentralized technology stronger. These technologies are anti-fragile and that's what he seems to miss.

Bring the whole fucking thing down, that's fine. It just means the next thing to come along will be better. You don't have to build for what you perceive to be the future threats.

Even bitcoin was born out of many failed attempts that were shut down. The decentralization was a direct response to the numerous centralized attempts that were crushed by the CIA/FBI showing up at someone's house.
