If there aren’t already enough reasons for Americans to hate/not be interested in #vegan food, it doesn’t help that the vast majority of restaurants that do have “vegan” options be like “gluten free corn flower sugar free pancakes no whipped cream no syrup,” expecting folks to be like MMMMMMM

I just watched the Netflix series Bad Vegan, which isn’t really about food at all, but about how a young ambitious restaurant owner became both the victim and then a participant in a scam that destroyed her business.

It’s wild.

Ooooo, I’ll have to check that out!

Are you vegan?

In my eyes veganism is a silly religion and I struggle to find upsides to it. Yes you could stop intensive animal farming if enough ppl went vegan, but you can achieve that with less extreme measures too. Measures that don't require you to stop keeping bees or pastured animals.

The quality of vegan food doesn't come into it for me. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
