Great question and I'd love to know

There is no way to know. We need our Nostr profiles to give us the ability to add our country, state, city, citizenship, etc

So relays could take that information and make statistics from that and also make it searchable so we can find others in our area because Nostr is kinda boring these days so hard to find other users.
